It is an icy cool place ... makes one wonder what Maladhiel was thinking wearing that kind of an outfit. :O} Hi, everyone! I'm back with Day 2! I never got back around to playing with Gokuu ... as I was trying to get Mal to level 20. Will I succeed?
I wanted to try using my Wind Spirit once again ... as I hadn't had any decent luck the last time I had attempted it.
But first ... Mal needs to get her vitality points up. She's got some quests coming up that require higher levels.
Did I say I wanted to use my wind spirit? I changed my mind. For some reason, I'm finding my fire spirit does more damage without "dying". That's really too bad ... since I wanted to play them all. *pout*
This is Handcrafting. FUN!
As promised, I had Mal stand near those huge beasties from the last beta even. See how HUGE they are?!
It's actually a lot of fun to watch them fly around with this method of transportation. It would look really cool with a set of virtual reality glasses. :O)
This was a cut-scene of a battle Maladhiel had to take part in. She died ... a LOT. It was my own fault really. :O\ He wasn't even all that hard to beat. I just kept making stupid mistakes. One thing that has become my friend through all of the cut-scenes when Maladhiel ends up dying - the ESC key. :O) That'll stop a cut-scene in its tracks! Sorry that the second picture is so dark. The cut-scene was coming to a close when I hit my Print Screen key.
BATTLE!! One of Mal's quests was to kill some of these Mosbear creatures in a certain amount of time. The last picture shows Mal's "Stone Skin" at work. It's her defensive shield. It normally lasts for 5 minutes, but when it's hit a certain number of times, it dies and you have to bring it up again.
These are a form of water spirit. Aren't they pretty? The next spirit Mal will earn after wind is Earth. I guess water comes last.
The hat has some nice stats, but ... it doesn't go with Mal's outfit. SO ... I hid her helm. You can do that. ;O))
Wing shot!
*sighs happily at the gorgeous scenery*
I finally got a good sequence of events when a character dies. You get this nice grayed out screen ... and then you can "release". You are returned to the point that you bound yourself ... and your Soul is Sick for anywhere between 30 seconds to 3 minutes. This is her with low health and mana shortly after resurrecting. She's breathing heavy ... weak ... soul sick. You can alleviate the sickness by paying a Soul Healer ... but the higher in level you get, the more expensive it is ... so I usually just have Mal sit down and rest (the comma key).
Rest, dear one.
Umm ... this is a Mantiger ... :O)) No, not something Mal had to fight. She got a couple of quests from this guy to kill some birds and do some other things.
At level 16, Mal spent a crapload of Kinah ... and she is now able to summon the Earth Spirit. :O) Again ... still not as good at fighting as the Fire Spirit. *pout*
Sometimes you are sent on quests ... where you get to interact with the environment in different ways. See that book? People have been losing their memory because of its enchantments. Mal went on a quest to gather various ingredients so someone could make her a potion to resist the effects. :O))
It really is a nice library in general though ... enchanted books aside!

Apparently Mal is trying to show us how tough she is and that the cold doesn't bother her? *giggles*
Hmm, I'm guessing each spirit will do better against different types of critters. Like in WoW, your blob is great for tanking for you, the imp does great damage when there's another person to play tank, the felhound is fantastic against casters, the felguard is a good all-around-pet (but you don't get him until higher levels.... speaking of that, when does WoW-Mal get him?).
Handcrafting? What's that?
Geeze, they are huge! *blinks* Are they docile?
If you hit ESC, does it end the cut scene or pause it, let you rezz, and then you can continue it?
What's the countdown under the monster's health bar?
Uh-oh, looks like he keeled your spirit! Love the graphic in that last battle shot. Ah, that's what the countdown was. Okay, I like the graphic even more, now that I know what spell it's for. It totally fits what it's supposed to do, looking all shieldy and stuff!
The whole lake scenery is pretty, but yes, the water spirit is very pretty. :D
You're right, the helm doesn't fit her outfit, but wow is that awesome looking!
Have you had a player resurrect you yet? Do you know if you get soul sick if you rezz that way too? Glad the sickness doesn't seem to last too long though.
*grins at Ange* You just wanted the boob shot, admit it.
Mantiger looks like a spell experiment gone wrong. *grins*
The earth spirit looks really neat though! There've gotta be things the other spirits are good for, you just have to find them.
Heh, very neat! (I'd wanna pull out the book that's already half-out, see what it's got in it though. *giggles*)
Geeze, she really is chesty. Oh, right. Yeah, the library does look pretty good!
